confidence coaching
a closer look at how the balance collective has helped a mum return to work with confidence after maternity leave.
Case Study – returning to work
The situation: After following a full time career for over 10 years and then having 10 months away from work on maternity leave, J planned to return to the same role but on a part time basis. She had a number of concerns – how to manage her role as effectively as she had before while working less hours, how to spend enough time at home as a mum, and overcoming the feelings of guilt and unease at the daunting task ahead.
The coaching we did: Over 6 sessions Clara delivered structured and thought-provoking sessions that helped J to identify concrete goals. Then they developed some manageable steps to achieve them.
The result: J returned to work in January 2016. She says: “Instead of feeling daunted by my ‘new life’ I feel energised and ready to undertake different challenges using the tools that Clara has taught me. My confidence has increased and I am tackling problems with a calmer and more methodical approach. Thank you!”
