It doesn’t matter if you are employed, self-employed or run a business; it is essential to focus on what YOU need and want out of your career.
Many clients come to coaching after a transition in their life; when they are ready to make a change.
I have the absolute joy of introducing you to Jenny Procter, this week’s Featured Client, an experienced marketing consultant who has been stretching her comfort zone!

I had several years’ experience as a self-employed consultant, but I had scaled down my work when my adopted daughter joined our family, working only when she slept in the day. At the point at which I contacted Clara, she had settled in well and had started in childcare. I wanted to grow my business again but was very out of practice at networking and lacking in confidence about what I did for my clients.
Clara gently reminded me of all the things I was perfectly capable of doing, and she helped me articulate my specific offering. She also introduced me to a fun ladies networking group! The work she asked me to do prior to coaching helped me focus on what I really wanted from the business. As we came to the end of the initial block of coaching, I had a phone call which led to a significant new client, one which has now committed to working with me long term. Clara’s coaching helped me approach this confidently.
As life has changed this year Clara and I have worked together each month. We discuss everything from how to handle client challenges, self-care and how to deal with overwhelm. I describe this process to friends as a dose of positive common sense, a conversation that helps counter the negative self-talk and imposter syndrome!

If you are considering coaching, I would remind you there are a lot of coaches so it’s important to find someone whose style and approach is right for you. I spent a lot of time reading Clara’s online content before I contacted her, which helped me make the decision.
