“You can tell a lot about a person by the way they handle three things: a rainy day, lost luggage and tangled Christmas tree lights.” —Maya Angelou

Well, here we are, the last month of 2025. I am not quite sure how that happened; it feels like I blinked and the year rushed past! Does anyone else feel the same way?

December is a short working month for me; it starts with birthday celebrations and, according to the Netflix Schedule, ends with the Stranger Things Finale!

So, here are the dates you need to know about

  1. Ask Me Anything: Tuesday 2nd December at 11:30 am

The final AMA is TOMORROW (thanks to a teacher training day!). You have the chance to ask me anything: careers, confidence, balance, return to work, leadership, books, or business. In fact, there may be a shorter list of what I won’t answer. So HIT REPLY, and I will include your question. I will share my thoughts in Creating Careers to Enjoy, and then it will be written up as a blog and published on 4th December.

  1. Personal Development Book Club is on Pause.

As it’s December, I’m going to encourage you to read whatever you want! I will be sharing my book club round up, to give you inspiration, but there won’t be a readlong book.

If you want to get ahead, the January reaadlong will be Donna Ashworth’s “Joy Chose You”.

Joy Chose You is a beautiful, colour-illustrated collection of Donna’s most-loved poems to bring more joy into our imperfect lives. When we allow joy to wrap her quiet warmth around us we find ourselves opening up to more life, love and light.

With poems such as ‘Joy Comes Back’, ‘Happy’ and ‘Unstoppable’, as well as 20 new poems, including ‘This Little Moment’, ‘Love Wins’ and ‘A Little Weird’, Donna’s wise words help us find hope in the dark, calm amid worry and greater joy in the beauty of living.

  1. November blogs links

In case you missed them, then take some time to review last month’s blogs, AMA and book review:

  1. Would you prefer to hang out on LinkedIn?

If you are eager to reduce the emails you receive while continuing to receive my blogs, I may have a solution for you. I now have a Newsletter on LinkedIn , so you can keep all your career and personal development in one place.

  1. The last Coaching Slots for 2025

The last date for a coaching slot or insight call is (at the time of scheduling) 11th December, and then the diary closes for the festive period until the 6th January 2026.

If you are considering us working together in 2026, either for coaching or workshops, then feel free to book in a call.
