“Act as if what you do makes a difference. It does.” William James
In a month of two, four-day workweeks (for many!), there is only one wish I have for you. That you get some R&R with those that matter and continue to create a career to enjoy!
As always, there are some key dates in The Balance Collective Diary, and a request to remember me next time someone asks about coaching!
So, without further ado, let me tell you about this month …
Ask Me Anything: Your regular Ask Me Anything Session
This month it’s on Monday, the 18th May at 11:30-12 noon in Creating Career to Enjoy.
It’s the regular chance for you to pick my brains for free.
You can ask me anything about career, confidence, self-employment, balance, returning to work and more! (Almost) No question is off limits. You can get a feel for what has been asked before, here!
Message hello@thebalancecollective.co.uk to submit your question!
May Book Review: A guide to thriving (the science behind breaking old patters, reclaiming your agency and finding meaning) by Jon Rosemberg
“If you feel overwhelmed, burned out, stuck, or constantly on edge, you may be trapped in survival mode. Life in this state becomes an endless cycle of reactivity, where you stay guarded against every perceived threat and shrink yourself to stay safe. It’s draining, confining, and prevents you from fully thriving.”
If that sounds like you, maybe it’s time you read “A guide to thriving”!
I’ll be sharing my thoughts on 28th May; if you’d like to join in, you can grab your copy here (my affiliate link).

Reclaim your time to create a career to enjoy
Maybe it’s the warmer weather, maybe it’s just the time of the year, but the coaching diary is starting to fill up again. If you have been considering what’s next, then maybe it’s time to speak? Grab your insight call space to find out more about how I can support you through 1:1 coaching and corporate career workshops.
An easier way to refer me!
“Does anyone know anyone who ….?” How often does that happen at work, and you struggle to find the best information to send over?
Next time anyone asks for support for coaching or career wellbeing, I want to make it easy for you to refer me. My listing on the Expert Services Directory highlights to organisations exactly how I can help them!
You can also find some more information on my LinkedIn profile (feel free to connect if we haven’t already!)
So, whatever your plans are for May, I hope they inspire you!
Until next time
Clara
