I have a few annual traditions in my business. The “Round-Up” is one of them. Each year I take the time to reflect on the blogs that I am most proud of. These are the ones that felt like they made an impact, had some great feedback and, in places, felt like a comfortable stretch of my skills. Some feel like a conversation, and others can feel like a lesson being shared. Many have led me into a flow-like state of research, which, if I’m honest, is my favourite way of writing a blog. But all of them deserve a second chance to be seen. So, below are the four must-read blogs from 2025, for your perusal.

Seven easy ways to build your confidence

I’ve been speaking with many people about confidence recently. It arises in every aspect of life, both personal and professional. It’s one that, since I began my time in personal development and skills, has always been there. Either people feel like they want or need to build more confidence, or they are told (rightly or wrongly) that their confidence is something they need to work on. So, today, I wanted to share with you seven easy* ways to build your confidence. Read on

*Ok, so the concept of easy is relative, but you need to start somewhere!

Why it’s Ok to be unapologetic when setting boundaries

I know how it feels. You look around, and it seems like everyone has “it”. The ability to carve out time for themselves, to have a business or a job that energises them, and relationship dynamics that just work. You may be desperate for the same, but have decades of an internal monologue that tells you it’s “selfish”.   That you must put others first. Does that ring a bell? Today, I want to discuss how it’s okay to be unapologetic when setting boundaries. Read on.

How your life experiences can change your values

If I were to ask you what your number one value is, could you answer? It’s something I spend time thinking about and encourage my clients to do the same. But, for most people, it’s not something you consider day to day. Most move through life, not noticing a mismatch of values until something significant happens. Often, an important life experience can lead you to re-evaluate what is important to you. You may discover that what you once wanted doesn’t’ ring true anymore. And that can be a complicated set of emotions. Read on.

Why this coach is wary of AI

I can see it happening, and I’m sure hiring managers can see it, too. AI is creeping into CVs and applications. At first glance, it seems to make sense. Simply feed the machine the job you want, plus your current CV, and it will create a tailored version to increase your chances of an interview. Yet, the human touch, and YOUR personality, is stripped right out. Today, I want to talk about why this Career Coach is wary of AI. Read on.

These are just four out of the 40 articles I published in 2025, so feel free to pop along and see how I look at the rest! I’d love to know which one(s) helped you the most!
