“A window into the hopes and fears of the community”. That’s what I feel the Ask Me Anything sessions are. While they have been running for many years, I started converting them into blogs in December 2023. Two years on, I regularly offer up my twenty-plus years of experience to everyone around me; an opportunity to “pick my brains” on anything that would lead to a career to enjoy. The questions come from the safety of an anonymous question or from themes I see in my coaching and wellbeing workshops. All aim to start a conversation about the realities of careers, personal development, and business today. It may be these questions didn’t resonate for you at the time they were published, but life changes at a pace. So today, here is a round-up of 2025’s questions and answers, ready for you to read.
We are all on this journey together. Whether you’re a parent trying to balance work and family life, or someone looking to pivot their career, there’s likely a question (and answer) here that’ll resonate with you.
- Why should I pay for career coaching when I can get it from Chapt GPT for free?
- How can I future proof my career against AI
- What books can you recommend to help me with my confidence at work?
- How can I overcome my discomfort at asserting myself
- What is the best way to speak to my partner about the mental load I carry
- How to manage career / life disappointment?
- Any tips on job hunting when pregnant?
- “I’ve recently taken redundancy, after 20 years in a company. I want to use this time to work out what I want to do next but don’t know where to start. Help!”
- Why should you ask this coach your career questions
- How can I find time for myself within a busy career and family life?
But the questions don’t stop there. 2024’s Q&A round-up had a lovely range of questions, including:
- When everything feels like a priority, how can I prioritise?
- How can I refocus my career now my children are older?
- Is my lack of motivation post-festive blues or do I need to change jobs?
So, head over before you go to see if any of the answers can help you.
The Ask Me Anything slots will continue into next year, from January! So, don’t be shy, head over to Creating Careers to Enjoy, and get ready with your question.
